Scheduling is seniority based and hard to get company approved time off. Training when I started was 10 weeks. Training is much shorter now and new agents tend to feel overwhelmed. Customer Service Agent Part Time. The older agents were so nasty to eachother and with the merger everyone was miserable pretty much.
Pros free flights. Cons no money to travel. It's a job, put in a lot, expect little back. Customer Service Rep. They expect alot you employees part but don't expect of management, or on the job training.
Pros Good benefits. Cons Terrible work schedule, poor management from entry level up. If you really like people, you'll love the job. It's demanding and all kinds of outside events throw a well planned day off. Nights, weekends and holidays if you are directly involved in the operation but HDQ jobs more within standard hours. Cons Mentally, emotionally and physically demanding but a labor of love if you love what you do.
Working for them wasn't pleasant. They don't treat employees right and they don't care about helping customers. It is all about profit. Bad Management. Pros Ok benefits. Management can be supportive. Benefits and flexibility are undefeated. The pay is great. The work is definitely laborsome but isn't entirely heavy the entire day. You'll probably work 3 hours out of the 5 in a part time. You are disposable just like most jobs. The benefit is that you can fly for free outside of that it is not a good company to work for.

This airline can make money but has no one that actually knows how to operate an airline.
They need management that can run the operational aspects. AA needs to also think more about customer experience and try winning back the business traveler. No real room for advancement , fair pay , horrible co workers. Not a real place to advance your career. If your young and enjoy flight benefits I highly recommend.
