Indianapolis ambrosia centro

All delicious. Our black Lab settled down under the table and enjoyed the water Shannon brought him. We love Ambrosia not only for the good food but also because we can bring our dog. Lovely atmosphere. We went for a birthday celebration, but we saw a family with kids. Different spaces -- We were in a private room -- we also saw a porch that we may request if the side room is full. We did devour and it was amazing!

Great food as always. Great service! One of our favorite places to dine! Amazing food and our waitress was well versed in pairing wines.

The outdoor seating was great, and so were the cocktails and wine. The goat cheese app was great, but the veal was a bit underwhelming. It was good, just nothing special. Good service and wine list! The food was really good! Service was great too. Would definitely recommend. Such a wonderful place! The outdoor dining can be a bit loud with traffic, if you are sensitive to that dine inside. The food and service was excellent.

Great meal and great service for a very fair price. Every aspect was outstanding. Loved it for our 10 year anniversary. Always one of our favorites and did not disappoint!!! Ambrosia was founded on the principle that the best food - and the best times of our lives - begin with love. In the Pizzi family kitchen in Liguria, Italy, the dinner table was a treasured space for family and friends.

Since , the Pizzi family, which now includes Gino's daughters Manuela, Anna, and Francesca, has been bringing that same love and commitment to the Ambrosia kitchen. Regular patrons and staff are all part of the family, and first-time visitors are welcomed like old friends.

I know some people find the recipes a tad less than authentic, but never mind. Pizzi's food is fresh, thoughtfully prepared and smartly presented for a reasonable price.

A favorite restaurant like Ambrosia becomes part of how you come to understand the place where you live. You count on it and news of any kind of change is usually greeted with, "uh-oh. So I was more than a little curious to see how Pizzi's concept would translate to a downtown location.

Ambrosia Centro 15 E. Maryland St. It's a bit pricier than its Broad Ripple sister, but I'm happy to say that, in every other respect, the new place wears its downtown setting well. Fronted by large, vertical windows affording a stately view of the Morrison Opera building, Ambrosia Centro's front room is warmed and given a welcome dash of intimacy by a fireplace. A Tuscan umber color scheme hits the right chord of casual refinement.

As far as the menu is concerned, Pizzi has wisely decided to stick with dishes that have served him well in Broad Ripple. The artichokes had a wonderfully smoky grilled flavor, enhanced by the garlic, which made for a peppery lilt on the tip of the tongue. The prosciutto was almost buttery; it practically melted in my mouth. The tomatoes, much to our surprise at this time of year, were flavorful. Broad Ripple devotees will find plenty of familiar favorites among the entrees on offer at Ambrosia Centro.

We chose to stick with pasta dishes, a category where Ambrosia really shines. This was aromatic comfort food of a high order. The sausage, in particular, lent the dish a slightly spicy dimension that was gratifying on a winter's night. This may be Ambrosia's signature dish — rich yet delicate, creamy but never cloying; it is certainly one of the top vegetarian entrees in the city.

Needless to say, I tried a martini. I can report that the same standards of mixology that have held forth for lo, these many years in Broad Ripple have made the journey downtown intact.
